In addition to reducing clinical symptoms , social isolation and suicidality. Also soccer builds psychological resilience through the development of self-esteem, self-efficacy, emotional regulation,social skills , confidence and life satisfication.
Soccer sits at the heart of a virtuous cycle of physical fitness and social connection, influencing mental fitness, which in turn affects community well-being and resilience.
Soccer is a a strength based solution. Soccer is all about connection. Mental Health benefits extends to soccer participants,but also to spectators,fund, volunteers and broader community.
DFH-RC through the "Juu Iko Sawa Na Soccer" initiatives hopes to continue holding spaces for young people during soccer games for the main goal of creating connection, healing,growth and hope to them as they cultivate peer to peer support for promoting their mental and emotional well-being.
